Worth a Try

Today, again stand up and try,
thankful that it is not so hard,
that solid earth and open sky
surround sure steps, limits not barred.

For there are those, weak stumbling, lost,
to whom sure footing would be prized,
who, finding peace at any cost,
would utter deep thanks undisguised.

Lets ask for each firm step the Guide,
to make the way what would be best.
We ask the Helper at our side,
accomplishment and then sweet rest.

What freedom just to make the choice,
a gift, the strength to follow through,
to make us want to raise our voice,
in thanks for good, affirm the true.
