Small Sonnet of Peace
Small sonnet, my dear neighbors I would pen,
to tell you of the peace I wish for you.
And, as we meet again and yet, again,
we'll more and more share varied points of view.
Admiring your homes and gardens bright,
and laughter of your visits, friendships share.
Your gathering socially both day and night,
as time goes by, more common life we share.
Maturity has come, and still we grow,
in knowledge, understanding, sense of fun.
Dear thoughts and often prayers take as we go,
recalling special ways of everyone.
Now, whether we are near or far apart,
you leave a residue to bless our heart.
