Prepare Last Night--not there yet
I seek the key; it lies with me,
to start the day out right.
To make the choice with pen or voice,
I must prepare last night.
Through weariness to plug away,
leave order in my trail,
perhaps, not let accumulate
the load that makes me fail.
How to emerge from tasks piled up,
disorder in my way?
Just start somewhere and finish that;
it is a brand new day.
So Don't let me forget this warning,
or let it slip from sight.
I can be creative in the morning,
because I was thorough last night.
Surveying at the end of day,
what needs now to be done?
I can begin a chosen way
to work in the new day's sun.
