Guide My Day

It's only by your wisdom, Lord,
we weigh the word and deed,
to cast our pearls before the swine,
or help the one in need.

There must be balance, but only You
bestow the needed light
to guide the effort that we do,
a help or wasted plight.

So guide my feet today, dear Lord,
be it daily work or smile.
Should You desire, it's a word,
if You will banish guile.

My motive, glory be to You,
or help another one.
I'll thank You for clear eyes to view,
today, what should be done.
